Comment 1 Rafał Mużyło 2013-12-15 11:24:45 UTC
First of all, your LDFLAGS look a bit funny.

Other than that, there doesn't seem to be any documentation for gold, but is there a chance it doesn't support '--warn-once' ?
Comment 2 Aditya Iyer 2013-12-15 13:13:57 UTC
Yes removing --warn-once from LDFLAGS did the trick. Firefox is emerging fine now.

Guess they changed the linker as it used to emerge fine in previous versions.
Comment 3 Jory A. Pratt gentoo-dev 2013-12-15 20:07:35 UTC
Invalid flags being passed will result in failure every time.
