Description Rene Androsch 2004-04-29 12:52:43 UTC
I did:
emerge -pvD php-accelerator

and got:
[ebuild N ] dev-php/php-core-4.3.4-r2 +X +berkdb +crypt -curl -firebird -flash -freetds -gd +gd-external +gdbm +imap -informix -ipv6 +java +jpeg -ldap -mcal +memlimit +mysql +nls +oci8 +odbc -pam +pdflib +png -postgres +qt +readline -snmp +spell +ssl +tiff +truetype +xml2 0 kB
[ebuild N ] dev-php/php-accelerator-1.3.3-r1 55 kB

I need it, since I finally got a PHP application, that is a bit cpu hungry.

your php install is screwed up.
do 'emerge sync', 'emerge php' and then go and edit your virtuals and world files and remove any mention of php-core.

Sorry for that long delay.
Your suggested fix, did the trick!
