Description Dennis Nienhüser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-04-29 07:49:30 UTC
I just installed 2004.1 on an old Pentium machine. After compiling the kernel (2.6 series) in about 2 hours and rebooting I realized I did not change the processor familiy - it rebooted immediately. A reminder in the handbook to do this would be nice.

Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Turn brain off
2. Configure kernel
3. Turn brain on and reboot.
