I try to install my first gentoo with an minimal-amd64-install img. I used the German Installation handbook. For firsttime users the problem is when you try to install "pciutils" with "emerge pciutils" you get an error that looks like u have to update your whole system. Thats not critical but it needs a lot of time. That its a point, it might be better to have it in the installation handbook.

Ich habe meine erste Gentoo Installation mit einem minimal-amd64 versucht. Ich habe es nach dem deutschen Handbuch gemacht. Für den "erst Anwender" ergibt sich bei der Installation von pciutils das Problem das man eine Meldung bekommt die darauf schließen lässt das man ein komplettes System update machen muss bevor man es installieren kann. Das ist nicht das Problem. Der Punkt sollte nur auch im Handbuch verewigt werden.

good point; I've added a paragraph just after the "emerge-webrsync" step, which is the point when Portage will start recommending updates.
