I tried to install a gentoo on a bi-opteron platform with the amd64 french or english installation documentation.
From the beginning of the chroot part (chapter 6.a), near all the commands respond : /dev/null: No such file or directory. there's no effect since we arrived to the bootstrap.sh script which stop without answering anything !
So after chrooting, i made a /dev directory and a MAKEDEV generic and now it worked but it's not documented...
Am i false.

It _is_documented on both amd64.gentoo.org/technotes.xml and in the 2nd sticky forums thread (amd64 forums). This Bug does not apply to 2004.1! Fixed.
