net-misc/ptpd/ptpd-2.3.0.ebuild

It is an opensource implementation of standard IEEE 1588-2008 - Precise Time Protocol (PTP). Daemon implements precise time synchronization over local network. It is similar to NTP but can achive better precision ~30us on common Linux PC.

I'm currently having a look at this and may pick it up to include it in the tree.

@Jan: why did you include a custom /etc/ptpd.conf file? It looks like ptpd2.conf.default-full would be a better starting place? At least that will have all the options for people to play with.
Comment 5 Jan Breuer 2015-06-02 10:54:10 UTC
@Hans You are right, it will be probably better starting point. Now, I just don't remember, why I did it.
Comment 6 Jan Breuer 2015-06-07 12:57:30 UTC
@Hans I remembered, it is because ptpd2.conf.default-full is not part of future versions
