Alexander Berntsen would like to join the gentoo development team as a "staffer". He has already contributed to gentoo portage (the PM) and that will be his main field, so the ebuild-quiz isn't required for now. The quiz should be ready within max a few weeks after yngwin has had a look at it. I'm only the backup-mentor.
What is the status of the quizzes here?
(today's chat log) > (17:26:20) bernalex: slyfox^w: IDK. people have been nagging me about it for 5+ years. there's even a recruitment bug for me, and I have filled out a staff quiz but haven't heard from my mentor in months.
Give me one more week. Then I'll be done with exams and have time to take a proper look at the quiz.
No worries. In case the chat msg seems odd out of context, I'm not impatient or mad at Ben. I know he's been ill and busy and whatnot. :-)
(In reply to Justin Lecher from comment #1) > What is the status of the quizzes here? Staff quiz looks good to me. Recruiters can take it from here.
(In reply to Ben de Groot from comment #5) > Staff quiz looks good to me. Recruiters can take it from here. Alexander, please send the quiz to recruiters@gentoo.org
(In reply to Justin Lecher from comment #6) > Alexander, please send the quiz to recruiters@gentoo.org Done.

He replied that he will continue working on Portage, Licenses and Haskell
it seems he still didn't commit anything, neither to main tree neither to portage.git (I don't know how to track his activity on licenses and haskell)
he replied that he will retire, but we will give 15 days to reconsider
Setting deadline to indicate that this retirement can be processed with the next batch.
