The xremote stuff seems to have changed in mozilla-1.7_rc1 so that openURL(http://google.com/, new-tab) gives an error. This means that mozilla-launcher is mostly broken 1.7 at the moment

okay, I've solved most of the problems, should have a new version of mozilla-launcher out very soon
ok, I've fixed most of the problems in mozilla-launcher-1.3 the only one remaining, that I know of, is that running simple "mozilla" doesn't pop up a new empty tab/window. This is actually a bug in mozilla-xremote-client, or perhaps it was an unintended side-effect in older versions. I'll have to patch it there and take it upstream. I'll leave this bug open until I get that fixed.
I'm still finding problems with this, and noticed that there's still a space between the comma and the new-window/new-tab entry. This is the upstream mozilla bug 229681. I added this fix in the proposed patch for mozilla-launcher's thunderbird support (bug #46544), but it seems this is the proper place. As I commented then, this bug "seems to have gone unnoticed by the mozilla developers, if anyone can bring it to their attention that would be great." 5:) Thanks, Mike 5:)
hm, works fine for me with the space, but I'll remove it
All fixed in mozilla-launcher-1.5, thanks
Odd you weren't seeing problems, perhaps it's because I'm using the CVS firefox? Anyway, thanks very much for the *really* speedy fix! It seems to work perfectly now...
Cool :-)
