Since 3.11 has matured by now I'd like to get it marked as stable. Reproducible: Didn't try
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/query.cgi "Kernel Version: (matches regular expression) 3.10.*" yields 143 bugs (310 total) "Kernel Version: (matches regular expression) 3.11.*" yields 146 bugs (321 total) 3.11 has yielded as much bugs as 3.10 yet, but was around for only half of its time and half the amount of versions; we can conclude that 3.11 regresses more. Looking at how an EOL branch would be, we see that 3.11 is about to go over the total amount of bugs (320); and that the amount of still open bugs (98) is somewhat lower, as per: "Kernel Version: (matches regular expression) 3.9.*" yields 98 bugs (320 total) So, hmm, it seems we're at the top of a curve; I guess it takes a bit more fixes for us to start a stable request, it seems slightly too early to start it now. This is partly due to the NO_HZ and tick[less] related changes, but not limited to it; you can also see effects of some changes in drivers like NVIDIA drivers; it's why we've decided to ride on the 3.10 branch for now. I am letting this bug open to see what the opinions of the other maintainers are.
See bug #496890, we skip stabilization of 3.11 and stabilize 3.12 or 3.13 later.
