Currently, the docs say nothing about pinning. After some looking on bugzilla, I found that info about pinning in world had been removed, and replaced by a newer method. That newer method involves using /etc/portage. The bug with the tiny amount of new data is at, http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9847 The portage docs should include the info about the newer method of pinning. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Read the portage docs. Actual Results: No information about pinning Expected Results: Information about how to pin things.
pinning doesnt really work anymore which is why i removed it from all the docs the portage docs are `man portage`
