After emerging dev-ruby/maruku (any version from the portage), it prints the following message:

  You need to emerge app-text/texlive and dev-tex/latex-unicode if
  you want to use --pdf with Maruku. You may also want to emerge
  dev-tex/listings to enable LaTeX syntax highlighting.

Let's take a look:
* dev-tex/listings is not available in portage (bug 357395 mentions it was going to be removed in April 2011).
* Latest dev-tex/latex-unicode version in portage is from 2004, I'm not sure this package is relevant nowadays.

So, either the message should be updated, or it should be removed altogether.

Upon fixing this bug, just remember to update the ebuild for all currently available versions in portage.

latex-unicode is now in dev-texlive/texlive-latexextra
