What kernel and processor is being used? Are you overclocking?
Comment 2 Tom Gall (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-03 20:56:17 UTC
this is a ppc64 system (powerpc 970, 2 Gz .. no over clocking) .. I suspect it's a kernel problem of some sort related to the tools being built 64 bit. But that's just a guess. At this point I've been steering people away from reiserfs.
Comment 3 Markus Rothe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-26 13:05:09 UTC
I did some testing with gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.8-r3 and linux-headers-2.4.22. So stability problems so far.

Will test with latest live cd.

Alrighty, things are also checking out on this end, I'd say we've come a long way since this reared it's ugly head. Thanks Markus! Kudo to all your testing!
