Hello everybody, After updating today to kde 4.11.3, kde is missing the oxygen default theme, and uses the CDE theme. The same thing happened to my laptop after updating to the new kde. In systemsettings, oxygen theme is missing. If I create a new user, the theme is there. I tried to delete kde cache for my user, I also deleted my ~/.kde4 folder to regenerate everything, but the problem remains. After talking to a kde developer (terietor), he finally solved my problem: rm ~/.config/Trolltech.conf I don't know why that config had that problem, but deleting it finally gave me my oxygen theme in applications appearence back. :)

This is a recurring problem after kde updates for me. The "rm ~/.config/Trolltech.conf" worked once but the latest kde update broke the themes again, so i'd say this issue should be reopened. See my attached Trolltech.conf if you spot something interesting.

Maybe we can trigger an auto-rebuild now we have the subslots implemented.

This doesn't seem to be a Gentoo issue as i had exactly this problem on my Ubuntu (13.10) box at work today, too. I found the corresponding kde bug at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=314662 . Let's see if we can get the upstream bug resolved.

This *should* be fixed with the next upgrade, since we're forcing a rebuild of kstyles now. I'm optimistic and close the bug. Feel free to reopen if you still have troubles (state your exact versions of liboxygenstyle and kstyles then).
