Description Alastair Tse (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-07-12 03:13:44 UTC
Hi,

This is a console program that captures from a video4linux device and encodes in
DivX format in real-time.

It depends on divx4linux, and I've also included a patch that makes it
compatible with divx4linux 0.7+.

I suggest this to be put in media-video.

Cheers,

Alastair

Sorry - I meant that it depends on avifile 0.7x rather than divx4linux :(

Hey Alastair.

The programs exact version is 1.09, not 1.0.9 - so i renamed your ebuild.
I added KEYWORDS, LICENSE and removed the S which is obsolete in this ebuild.
avifile is in media-video, not in media-libs; changed the DEPEND.

I'll put it into the portage tree now, thanks for the contribution.

btw: this thing does encode divx in realtime? awesome, i ~must~ test that.

Hi,

Eek - I made _that_ many mistakes? :) Next time I'll check a lot more carefully.
Thanks!

Yeah and it does do DivX in realtime, capturing around 230Mb/hour is very cool
indeed (or around 600Mb/hour if you use a higher quality bitrate).

Thanks,

Alastair
