Here's a proposed update for udev-guide.xml. Since the guide was initially written some packages have gone into stable, there were important changes to baselyout, and so on... so I thought that an update to the second part of the guide was due. I tried to integrate all the infos I could gather from various sources and formed the new chapter "Known issues" that substitutes "Current issues". Some paragraphs are probably badly worded, fell free to modify/accept/reject all changes. See bug 40987, bug 47902, bug 48441 for reference.

Thanks a lot! Nice work on the guide. I've committed the changes in CVS.
1- Please, do not change the DTD spec. Update your catalog file as explained on http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/doc-tipsntricks.xml#doc_chap2 to be able to xmllint your files. 2- Typo: s/succesful/uccessful/ (I just fixed it in the committed version)
Created attachment 30073 [details, diff] patch for udev-guide.xml thanks a lot for the fast commit. It's a pleasure to work with you guys. This patch is for two typos and to remove "/dev/pts file system" from kernel options. It is removed in kernel 2.6.4 (enabled by default) as explained in the guide in "other issues".
It's a pleasure to receive contributions like yours. Thanks a lot. btw, -get rid of those annoying warnings, you should create he missing devices nodes +get rid of those annoying warnings, you should create the missing devices nodes has another typo: s/missing devices nodes/missing device nodes/ Looks like it was not in your original patch. Hmm, I wonder how it got into the doc ;-) Reopening for Swift's pleasure.
Sorry for the typo's, but I typed over the patch instead of applying it. Some weird brainfart of mine does that whenever I get the feeling I can't apply the entire patch :) The guide's updated again. Thanks.
