Description Tod M. Neidt (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-02-01 21:57:25 UTC
Hi!

grip-2.98.3 is a broken package version. We currently have
media-sound/grip-2.98.3.ebuild and media-sound/grip-2.98.3-r1.ebuild in portage.
I upgraded to grip-2.98.5.ebuild, and wanted to package mask the 2.98.3 versions
(previous versions <2.98.3 are ok also) to avoid multiple "grip crashes on me"
messages on gentoo-user (so we could get "how do I merge grip-2.98.3-r1 when I
get a package mask error," instead :) Tried =media-sound/grip-2.98.3* in
package.mask, but it didn't seem to catch grip-2.98.3-r1. It would be nice if a
glob character would catch -r* versions.

I have just added a line in package mask for both 2.98.3 and 2.98.3-r1 for now.

fixed on CVS. Will roll this into a new release soon. Thanks :)
