Renamed sci-mathematics/pspp-0.8.0.ebuild works for me on amd64 with these changes:

* pspp-0.8.0-as-needed.patch is obsolete (already patched upstream)
* missing dependency >=x11-libs/gtksourceview-2.2:2.0

Do you like to place it in out overlay? If so, please fork the overlay and github and send a pull request. We happily will merge it.

These ebuilds (>=0.8.0) need x11-libs/gtksourceview:2 as a dep. I hit this upgrading to o.8.0 the other day, the output of the build system stated it needed >=gtksourceview-2.2.

Well, the attached ebuild has the dep, just not the one in the tree.

This version suffers from underlinking. I will fix that.
