Description Christopher Jones 2013-10-25 12:13:25 UTC
In the Installation 2 step instruction, move the line "The consolekit use flag should also be disabled to prevent conflicts with the systemd-logind service." that is located AFTER step 2., to BEFORE Step 2. Doing this will prevent the user from having a Circular Dependency issue with Openrc and Systemd when emerging as said to do in Step 2. This will save many new users the headache of trying to figure out why theres a circular dependency. Consolekit must be disabled prior to emerging systemd.

nstallation

sys-apps/systemd and sys-apps/dbus have a circular dependency which necessitates a 2-stage installation.
Install sys-apps/dbus with USE="-systemd". This is probably already done if you have a working desktop environment.
Enable the systemd USE flag globally (make.conf) and install sys-apps/systemd. This may also be accomplished by a world update.
The consolekit use flag should also be disabled to prevent conflicts with the systemd-logind service.
