Some packages have some kind of emerge percentage completed which can be seen during merge. It would be nice to implement that for libreoffice, considering its huge build time, if possible.

Nice idea, but we unfortunately can't do much about it... try bugs.freedesktop.org

(The packages showing the percentage are mostly cmake-based.)
