The dtd patch causes TONS of errors like the following:
GLib-CRITICAL **: file gtree.c: line 209 (g_tree_lookup): assertion `tree != NULL' failed.


1 song in the playlist = 4 lines of above.  

1) emerge xmms
2) run xmms from console

what version of glib do you have?

what version of glib do you have?  glib.  not glibc.

1.2.10-r5 and 2.4.0

      Latest version available: 2.4.0
      Latest version installed: 2.2.3

*  media-sound/xmms
      Latest version available: 1.2.10-r1
      Latest version installed: 1.2.10-r2

same problem here. I will try if updating to glib 2.4.0 will fix the error for me. but i doubt it.

I am actually on amd64, if that matters.

dtd was removed from -r3 because of this and other problems.
