(Copying right off of bug 31454): gnome-light, a package which should contain only the base components you need to run a gnome-system, is outdated, all dependencies are on gnome-2.4.x And then the comment: gnome-light should be simultaneously updated with gnome meta from now on gnome has 2.6 versions in portage, so gnome-light should also. Yes, this stuff is all still masked, but shouldn't it be there anyway?
not really... sort of.. we can just push it out when 2.6 goes stable, it doesn't make a difference for stable users. The ebuilds get tested in gnome-2.6.ebuild.
I'd like to have gnome-light-2.6 even masked, because I could try the new GNOME and send feedback here without having to install the whole stuff. Please :-)
Created attachment 32180 [details] gnome-light-2.6.1.ebuild More or less just a version bump. This ebuild is based on gnome-light-2.4.2.ebuild and gnome-2.6.1_rc1.ebuild.
Created attachment 32181 [details] gnome-light-2.6.ebuild Also including this gnome-light ebuild based on v2.6 so that those who want to stick with x86 packages can test this. This ebuild is based on gnome-light-2.4.2.ebuild and gnome-2.6.ebuild.
