One thing that is missing that I know a lot of people would find useful with emerge would be the ability to have package size output with with an "emerge -Up" command. For instance, This afternoon I wanted to update kde, but when doing a "emerge -Up kde" it just spits out all the kde packages that need updating. What I'd like to be able to do is have it also list each of those packages' sizes next to the package name and perhaps have a total update size at the bottom. Very helpful to those of us that would like to know how big an update is without having to manually calculate the package size by doing a million and one "emerge search" commands. Very helpful to those of us who have small quotas, who would like to know how big an update is before downloading potentially hundreds of MB of packages.
