When I emerged OGLE 0.9.2, the configure script returned the warning: configure: WARNING: Disabling ALSA support, install a 0.9.x version and afterwards I had no sound playing any DVD. I can confirm this issue. I have the alsa version included in the 2.6 kernel as well as the libraries from ~86.
My workaround was to downgrade to alsa-lib 0.9.8 and then remerge ogle and then upgrade alsa-lib.
Created attachment 31481 [details, diff] fixes bug This seems to be a bug in configure.in. The attached fixes it; it now compiles and runs fine using alsa sound, with alsa-lib 1.0.3b-r2 for me.
Bah. I thought I got all of these. Thank you rodling, there are a couple of configure scripts bitten by snd_lib_major being set to 1. Configure fixes looks fine, going to check over the package prior to commiting. Sometime w/in the next few days- meanwhile, pardon the delay.
In CVS.
