Hi, remember bug 482300? After that bug was marked as resolved Ian and I had a long conversation in August 2013 with the conclusion that the fix was wrong (like Robin already indicated in comment #3). Yes, increasing the dad_timeout solved the problem, but it was the wrong solution. The correct solution is to use carrier_timeout, because this was the original problem and that's the right way to solve that problem. So please, if you have time, please undo the commit. It is not important, but keeping a 'invalid' fix should be avoided. Thanks and sorry ;)
This has been in the tree for 2+ years and I missed closing the bag. I did make a further change now, because you made the DAD timeout event cause the interface not come up at all.
