Description Lee Trager 2004-04-23 13:18:37 UTC
When ever im typing in gaim with my text red and the background black the last letter dose not get its back ground to be black. If for example I type "test" "tes" will be red text with a black background but "t" will be red text on a white back ground. It gets very annoying.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open up gaim
2. Goto IM someone with a background color on your text
3. Look at the text

Actual Results:
The last letter has a white back ground instead of the color I wanted

Expected Results:
Every letter should have the same color background

Ill send a picture of it if anyone wants it but I dont have a server :\

I'm sort of seeing this. If you wait an extra second the bg will be filled in, but it always sends right anyway.

What version of gtk+ are you on?
Comment 3 Lee Trager 2004-04-23 20:56:48 UTC
Ya I know it fills in after a second and it sends right but its still annoying :\ Anyway Im on gtk 2.4.0-r1.

Well none of the devs I talked to could duplicate it, but they were both on gtk+ 2.2.x. You and I can do it with gtk+ 2.4.x. I can't say yet that it's gtk+ related, but it is definitely upstream. If this problem bothers you enough, feel free to take it to the gaim bug tracker. Be sure to reference the URL to this bug there and post the URL to that bug here if you do.
