I've tried to apply a silly patches (stk11xx_fix_3_11_kernels_1.patch, stk11xx_fix_3_11_kernels_2.patch), but with no luck. Both patches help the driver compile, but after modprobing stk11xx dmesg reports errors (dmesg_1.log, dmesg_2.log respectively).

Why do you attach patches that do *not* fix the issue? :)
Just to show what I was trying to do - and to avoid another people to go through non-working solution. Maybe it's a goot idea to attach patches just like regular files (for information) ?
Bug is opened at upstream - https://sourceforge.net/p/syntekdriver/bugs/21/
I'm sorry but I no longer have the hardware to support this.
Michał, is it possible to organize testing remotely on my laptop ?
Thanks to Ondrej Zary from "linux-media" maillist (http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-media/msg66647.html), who has made a patch, and Julian Sparber from upstream bug tracker, who has find the above link in Internet, we have the solution. Patch below allows driver to compile againts pf-sources-3.11.4 and work fine on my Asus F5R laptop with Syntek webcam (USB ID 174f:6a31).

is this patch enough for recent kernels or did it break again?
