kde-base/knode-9999 depends on kaddressbookgrantlee that is not extracted by default. Easy workaround is simply addingo grantleetheme/ and kaddressbookgrantlee/ to KCOMPILEONLY, as was done before for other ebuilds. I will attach working ebuild with that one change. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try to install kde-base/knode-9999 Actual Results: Build failure Expected Results: Build

Thanks for reporting. I have added your changes to the ebuild and kdepimcommon/ folder additionally because of today master changes. Please sync to get the changes. http://git.overlays.gentoo.org/gitweb/?p=proj/kde.git;a=commit;h=0057813fe68c17c22876659c15622ccbb1337f4b
Please reopen this bug. I just got hit with this on my ~amd64 laptop while attempting to update to 4.12.0 from 4.11.4. The build fails with the exact same error. Before discovering this bug report and the modified ebuild, I was able to get knode to emerge by disabling kontact use. I'll try with the modified ebuild and see if it works with kontact use enabled and report back my results.
Update, the modified ebuild posted above works, as does the previous ebuild from 4.11.4 Please fix and update in the tree ASAP. TIA
(In reply to Robert Cabrera from comment #4) > Update, the modified ebuild posted above works, as does the previous ebuild > from 4.11.4 Please fix and update in the tree ASAP. TIA I dont know what you are talking about, the ebuild version in tree has the kaddressbookgrantlee folder inclusion.

I'm currently posting this while tethering to my phone where I have only limited bandwidth without charges. I'll upload the other relevant logs as soon as I get home. That is unless you want me to start a new bug report.
I don't see "Error 1" in there, which means that you aren't seeing the actual error. Please post your full build.log.

Correction to my comments in post #4: I was mistaken, the other ebuilds don't work either. I had forgotten that I had placed -kontact in package.use to get it to build the first time, so when I emerged with the other modified ebuilds they worked because of this. Re-enabling kontact "use" causes them to fail as well.
I'll open another bug report if unrelated.
Update: over the holiday I recompiled my entire system and this again failed to build with the same errors. This time, however, I was finally able to emerge when I used MAKEOPTS="-j1" emerge -1 knode. When I used MAKEOPTS="-j2" the emerge fails as before.
