These two patches allow the generic IDE driver to recognise some more IDE chips, these ones are found in Toshiba laptops. The advantage here is that DMA can then be enabled. I posted these to LKML, so they may be merged soon. Patch accepted into 2.6.6-rc3, not sure about 2.4 yet
Also accepted into 2.4.27-pre2. I'll close this bug now, if you want to add them into the current gentoo sources feel free, either that or we can get the equivalent by waiting for 2.6.6 and 2.4.27 :)
