Description Kalin KOZHUHAROV 2013-10-06 23:05:34 UTC
I know it will invoke quite some changes in DEPEND to many ebuilds, but the more I use GIS-related stuff the more I feel gdal belongs here.
One of the direct benefits (for me) will be easier USE categorization (I set some USEflags per category).

Reproducible: Always

With only 10 packages maintained by sci-geosciences, I can't justify doing a package move and creating another category to clutter the top level.
Comment 2 Kalin KOZHUHAROV 2014-01-26 13:06:59 UTC
Fair enough, no problem, that was just "nice to have".

BTW, I didn't mean creating new category, just put gdal from sci-libs to sci-geosciences. And there about 50 packages in sci-geosciences ;-)
