This release also fixes some problems I had with Gnome 2.6, don't remember them all since I did the upgrade sometime in March, the 2.3.2 has been working great, haven't had any trouble with it yet.

usually we don't support unstable releases in our tree.
Comment 3 David Röhr 2004-04-24 08:22:00 UTC
Does the current version support Gnome 2.6? I had to upgrade to get it working. And since 2.6 is stable, then maybe something should be done with gthumb?

(gThumb version 2.2.1 (for GNOME 2.2 / 2.4))

But I agree, dev-series shouldn't be updated, but maybe it should be masked?
Comment 4 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-04-24 09:10:44 UTC
works fine here, gnome releases are backwards compatible, so shouldn't give any problems really. What sort of problems were you having ?

2.6 isn't stable yet btw
Comment 5 David Röhr 2004-04-24 09:29:31 UTC
Can't realy remember. I know it failed on compile, and then I noticed the newer version on the site and tested that one and it worked fine. I can try to downgrade it and maybe get the same error again.
Comment 6 David Röhr 2004-04-24 09:41:26 UTC
I found the error, it wasn't on compile. The 2.2.1 can't read files with big letter-endings.

it can read, test.jpg or TEST.jpg, but not test.JPG or TEST.JPG. This must be and error on the program, and thats why I upgraded. I haven't tested it against all captial letter-endings, but it's a quite bad bug.

2.3.2 fixes at least this error.
