ROOT 5.34.10 has been released beginning of September and sports some useful new functionality and fixes. 
It also has SQLite-database support via the abstract TSQLServer / TSQLStatement interface. This is sadly not mentioned in the changelog, but I now because I developed it and sent them the patches ;-). 

It would be nice to have an ebuild for the new version. I have attached a bumped version of the ebuild which is in tree for 5.34.09, but with the sqlite-useflag and a dependency on sqlite:3 added. This ebuild works fine for me.

Oliver, please provide patches for ebuild next time. This applies not only for this package, but for every contribution to Gentoo.
