This is another example of the config-kernel type problem where the user is forced to install small programs he/she might not necessarily want. I do not need a small script to help me select an mta, so i do not want net-mail/mailwrapper just to update fcron. This should be optional and represented in a use flag then right?
btw, mailwrapper is an rdepend of the mta, not fcron.
Yes, there probably should be a USE flag. That may require some portage hacking to properly handle it, however.
