Description Cory Meisch 2004-04-21 12:46:38 UTC
ontconfig version too old!

The GIMP requires fontconfig version 2.2.0 or later.
Installed fontconfig version is 1.0.2.

Somehow you or your software packager managed
to install The GIMP with an older fontconfig version.

Please upgrade to fontconfig version 2.2.0 or later.

After emerging gimp-2, I tried to emerge fontconfig-2.2.0 and it didn't help

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerged gimp-2
2. try to launch and get the error message

gimp correctly requires fontconfig-2.2 , so I really don't see how this could happen.

There are no fontconfig's available (not ever in the tree i believe) with a version number of 1.2.0 , so I really have no clue whats going on here and assume it's something local. So i need something more here to not close this, since you seem to be the only one having this problem.
