I have seen a lot of reports caused by incompatibilities between genkernel and systemd, and people needing to move to genkernel-next to solve them. Should we maybe add a blocker for the old gerkernel package?

I don't know about blocker. The profile with package.mask would be better, since portage would display explanatory message. Blocker would be like 'I need to remove this, then what?'

Yeah, would be another option, I don't have a strong feeling on that :/

Once we have a profile will probably be better per the explanatory message indeed
