Just a guess, but if an older version of doomsday is already installed, this just might be a case of doomsday linking to its libs on the system instead of ones its building.

I cannot reproduce this bug, but try this patch. Place it in /etc/portage/patches/games-fps/doomsday/ and re-emerge.

Hello, you was right hasufell. Your patch helped. It is compiling fine now. And yes there was a existing emerged version of doomsday installed but I have never experienced such things on other things. What was the problem here now?

I mean emerged fine now or linked. Compiling it was fine before I think.

If the problem was what I suspected it was, after it's successfully emerged, the bug is irreproducible till next ABI break (or in an downgrade/upgrade cycle).
