Hi! Overview Description: As mentioned above bootstraping fails on my k6. It crushes in diffrent moments. I don't think is a kernel fault because i've tryed instaling from livecd and from a runng redhat. Steps to Reproduce: Just follow the handbook. I've first download the sources (scripts/bootstrap.sh -f) and proceeded bootstraping. Additional Information: I've tryed different flags last time they were CFLAGS="-O2 -mcpu=k6 -fomit-frame-pointer" CHOST="i586-pc-linux-gnu" USE="apache2 apm samba ssl -X -java" I've also tryed "-march=k6" and without "-fomit-frame-pointer" - the same result. I've tryed syncing wiht 2 different hosts, twice started installig from the very begining - no results. There's a RH running on this hardware - there were no such problems. my /proc/cpuinfo looks like this processor : 0 vendor_id : AuthenticAMD cpu family : 5 model : 6 model name : AMD-K6tm w/ multimedia extensions stepping : 1 cpu MHz : 200.457 cache size : 64 KB fdiv_bug : no hlt_bug : no f00f_bug : no coma_bug : no fpu : yes fpu_exception : yes cpuid level : 1 wp : yes flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr mce cx8 mmx bogomips : 399.76 Here's the last crush: gcc -DLOCALEDIR=\"/usr/share/locale\" -DLOCALE_ALIAS_PATH=\"/usr/share/locale\" -DUSEJEXE=0 -DGETTEXTJEXEDIR=\"/usr/lib/gettext\" -DGETTEXTJAR=\"/usr/share/gettext/gettext.jar\" -DLIBDIR=\"/usr/lib\" -DGETTEXTDATADIR=\"/usr/share/gettext\" -DPROJECTSDIR=\"/usr/share/gettext/projects\" -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I. -I. -I.. -I../libuniname -I../lib -I../lib -I../intl -I../../gettext-runtime/intl -O2 -mcpu=k6 -fomit-frame-pointer -c read-properties.c -o read-properties.o /bin/sh ../libtool --mode=compile gcc -DLOCALEDIR=\"/usr/share/locale\" -DLOCALE_ALIAS_PATH=\"/usr/share/locale\" -DUSEJEXE=0 -DGETTEXTJEXEDIR=\"/usr/lib/gettext\" -DGETTEXTJAR=\"/usr/share/gettext/gettext.jar\" -DLIBDIR=\"/usr/lib\" -DGETTEXTDATADIR=\"/usr/share/gettext\" -DPROJECTSDIR=\"/usr/share/gettext/projects\" -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I. -I. -I.. -I../libuniname -I../lib -I../lib -I../intl -I../../gettext-runtime/intl -O2 -mcpu=k6 -fomit-frame-pointer -c -o open-po.lo open-po.c gcc -DLOCALEDIR=\"/usr/share/locale\" -DLOCALE_ALIAS_PATH=\"/usr/share/locale\" -DUSEJEXE=0 -DGETTEXTJEXEDIR=\"/usr/lib/gettext\" -DGETTEXTJAR=\"/usr/share/gettext/gettext.jar\" -DLIBDIR=\"/usr/lib\" -DGETTEXTDATADIR=\"/usr/share/gettext\" -DPROJECTSDIR=\"/usr/share/gettext/projects\" -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I. -I. -I.. -I../libuniname -I../lib -I../lib -I../intl -I../../gettext-runtime/intl -O2 -mcpu=k6 -fomit-frame-pointer -c open-po.c -o open-po.o open-po.c: In function `try_open_po_file': open-po.c:103: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate. Your machine seems to be running hot. Compiling (especially so many things) is a lot of work for the CPU. Make sure that your box has an adequate airflow. Maybe open the case to prevent a heat-congestion. I am closing this one.
