Description Nathan Meyer 2004-04-20 09:54:38 UTC
When viewing "transparent" Flash movies in Firefox, the backgrounds are not transparent. I tried emerging both netscape-flash-6.0.79 and netscape-flash-6.0.81, but both had the same results. Transparent Flash movies work on both OS X and Windows with Firefox 0.8.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Firefox
2.Open any flash movie that uses transparency (a good example can be found at http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/transparency.htm)
3.Note that the bottom movie is not transparent, but should be.

Actual Results:
I noticed that the "transparent" movie was not transparent at all.

Expected Results:
It should be showing the movie as transparent.

Sorry, these are upstream bugs in the various flash players and/or firefox. Hopefully they're fixed in the current version (presently firefox-1.0-r1) but either way there's nothing we can do at the distribution level to fix it.
