The last and only version of dev-java/oracle-jdk-bin can't be installed since the given URL only provide downloads for dev-java/oracle-jdk-bin-1.7.0.40 which is not on the tree. Can we get an update for this package so it works again? Reproducible: Always
The downloads for Java 1.7.0.25 are currently at: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase7-521261.html Maybe the ebuilds should generally point to the top downloads page as an entry http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html and give a hint to the user to click "Previous Releases" if necessary...? Or this could be added to the message additionally to the direct download link.
Working on it, see the other bug for the progress; not sure if we will need to deal with this version in specific, because we don't want to directly affect those whom have it successfully installed already. Probably mask it after some days to start with or so...
Ah, I see now that that version is stable, we probably need to push some stabilization effort in some weeks from now.
Okay, reviewed the situation; considering that this bug keeps affecting stable users that want to install it, I give it at most half a week testing to ensure we don't have any new regressions. After that, I'll file a stabilization bug. + 11 Sep 2013; Tom Wijsman <TomWij@gentoo.org> +oracle-jdk-bin-1.7.0.40.ebuild: + Version bump to 1.7.0.40, fixes bug #484568; ARM now has soft and hard float + support.
