The bootable 2004.0 ppc isos on the mirrors have a typo in the bootloader configuration. The G3 boot option should boot the G4 kernel instead of some nonexistent G3 kernel. A quick workaround is to boot with the G4 boot option. The isos on http://www.metadistribution.org/gentoo/ have been fixed weeks ago and all releng leads, store and mirrors have been informed about the update. I haven't received word whether they want or do not want to mirror the fixed isos.

It would be nice if somebody could either give me access to the master mirror, or perform the mirror update for me. Reassigning this to the gentoo infrastructure lead.

/me bites tongue...

Jeff -- can you please work with releng to figure out if these CDs need to get replicated out? Since we're so close to 2004.1, I'd almost rather not, but I'll leave it up to the releng folks.

This was never fixed
