With sys-fs/aufs3-3_p20130821 on ~amd64, compilation which worked on gentoo-sources-3.10.10 stopped working as of gentoo-sources-3.11.0. The compilation error is: : /var/tmp/portage/sys-fs/aufs3-3_p20130821/work/aufs3-standalone/fs/aufs/mvdown.c: In function 'au_mvd_args_busy': : /var/tmp/portage/sys-fs/aufs3-3_p20130821/work/aufs3-standalone/fs/aufs/mvdown.c:283:18: error: 'struct dentry' has no member named 'd_count' : /var/tmp/portage/sys-fs/aufs3-3_p20130821/work/aufs3-standalone/fs/aufs/mvdown.c:291:2: error: 'struct dentry' has no member named 'd_count' : make[2]: *** [/var/tmp/portage/sys-fs/aufs3-3_p20130821/work/aufs3-standalone/fs/aufs/mvdown.o] Error 1 : make[2]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... : make[1]: *** [_module_/var/tmp/portage/sys-fs/aufs3-3_p20130821/work/aufs3-standalone/fs/aufs] Error 2 : make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-3.11.0-gentoo' : make: *** [fs/aufs/aufs.ko] Error 2 This may be a case of waiting for a new upstream version of the patch set, if not available already. Got the same issue, probably a newer ebuild is required, last commit on the aufs git was 7 days ago.
Updating to the latest git tag (0909) fixes the issue.
Is this fixed in 3_p20130915
