I've create a ebuild for the bbdb cvs trunk. It has correct dependancies and contains a patch that fix decode header bug. Category are app-emacs.
Created attachment 29631 [details] The ebuild file.
Created attachment 29632 [details, diff] The patch.
I put dates.el and point-at.el in filesdir. Is that OK? Or is it better to download from <URL:http://www.mit.edu/afs/athena/contrib/emacs-contrib/Fin/>?
CVS ebuilds are not prefered as they are a pain to maintain if the compilation method changes/dependancies change etc.... If you do an ebuild for version 2.34 or a snapshot of the cvs tree at a date (named bbdb-2.35_pre${DATE}) it has a much greater chance of being accepted. With reguard to those files dates.el and point-at.el if they are less than 10k files dir is ok otherwise refer to the source.
OK. Her is a ebuild for the cvs snapshot.

Comment on attachment 29682 [details] The new ebuild. >http://www.mit.edu/afs/athena/contrib/emacs-contrib/Fin/dates.e" Should be: http://www.mit.edu/afs/athena/contrib/emacs-contrib/Fin/dates.el
Thanks for the ebuild and patch. I've committed a CVS snapshot of 20040323.
