Noticed today that when installing ifenslave no longer creates bond.conf. Been a while since I installed it on other servers so cannot tell where the problem originated from.

  Version bump. Don't install "deprecated" modprobe.d/modules.conf files. Bump
  debian additions. Some refactoring.

This seems to have been done on purpose, assigning regardless for confirmation as well as possibly an explanation what you are expected to do against; maybe it is the case, that some news (eg. pkg_postinst) documenting its removal is missing.

is there a reason you still need this?  We removed this on purpose as it can cause problems.  resolving wontfix unless a very good reason can be given :P
