On ftp.eu.uu.net we've added a gentoo rsync/mirror. We will rsync from 193.79.11.11 (ftpfetch.svc.ops.eu.uu.net) and serve by ftp.eu.uu.net (round robin over 195.129.111.8 & 195.129.111.9) Contact: ftp-admins@eu.uu.net Humans behind it: Andre Koopal. Nicolai Plum, Mark Visser Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Expected Results: access to rsync master to update quicker. We rsync @ 04 & :34 every hour.
Thanks for helping out Gentoo. I have added the IP you specified in the bug to our access database, please start synching to rsync1.us.gentoo.org per our Rsync document at http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/rsync.xml. After a period of days I will check to make sure the timestamps are up to date and then add you into the appropriate rotation. We would like to add you to the gentoo-mirrors Mailing List, as we send our notifications of updates, releases, and changes in policy to the mirrors. Once again, thanks for the hardware and bandwidth! For Infrastructure, Jeffrey
The mirrors look like they are synching, but off by a couple hours. Please read the rsync doc, these mirrors should be synching at :10 and :30 past the hour. I will recheck in a day or two to see if this has been rectified. Thanks! Cheers, Jeffrey
This mirror is showing errors from the rsync bug recently posted. #49933. At present, I am closing this bug temporarily until the rsync situation is rectified. We will keep this on file for future reference. Thanks! For Infrastructure, Jeffrey
Ehm, seems previous email didn't arrive. We sync on purpose on 04 & 34 (not 00,30, which we believe was not mandatory ?) As for the version, we have 2.6.0 right now and sync against what you provided us. Right now that gives however: gentoo-rsync.afn.org (gentoo1.afn.org) Service provided by the Open Systems Group at the University of Florida. @ERROR: access denied to gentoo-portage from ftpfetch.svc.ops.eu.uu.net (193.79.11.11) rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (212 bytes read so far) rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(189) As previously reported, so that's why we're not in sync. Can access be opened again, so we can sync correctly ?
You have been added into the rsync.nl.gentoo.org rotation as rsync8.nl.gentoo.org. Please sync from rsync1.us.gento.org from now on. Thanks for the hardware and bandwidth! For Infrastructure, Jeffrey
