I tried perl-cleaner with various opts, but non of them helped.

Comment 2 Piotr Szymaniak 2013-08-30 21:11:55 UTC
This is revelant from notmuch irc channel:

230047 < bremner> does this script run? http://paste.debian.net/32515/
230056 < bremner> it should create a maildir in /tmp
230317 < lazy_bum> bremner: Nope, ends like this http://wklej.org/id/1120120/
230329 < lazy_bum> Btw could it be perl version related?
230424 < bremner> it could be. I'd file a bug on the relevant perl package; on debian it is libmail-box-perl
230603 < lazy_bum> This should be dev-perl/Mail-Box in Gentoo.
230656 < bremner> sounds plausible.
230711 < bremner> you can use my script as a small test case
230801 < lazy_bum> Ok, downgraded to dev-perl/Mail-Box-2.107.0 and both the script and notmuch-mutt works.
230812 < bremner> cool
230839 < lazy_bum> dev-perl/Mail-Box-2.108 makes those errors.

@perl-devs: Could you take a look at this?h
Comment 4 Kent Fredric (IRC: kent\n) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-10-20 10:18:10 UTC
No. notmuch should depend on Mail-Box, which it already does ( USE=mutt required )

And Mail-Box should depend on Devel-GlobalDestruction ... but it does.

So it would seem you have failed to run perl-cleaner if you have Mail-Box but not Devel-GlobalDestruction

please report:

  equery list dev-perl/Mail-Box
  equery list dev-perl/Devel-GlobalDestruction
  equery files dev-perl/Devel-GlobalDestruction
Comment 5 Kent Fredric (IRC: kent\n) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-10-20 10:19:46 UTC
*Furrow*. Er, that was intended for the *other* bug. Not sure how my browser posted to the wrong one.
Comment 6 Amadeusz Żołnowski (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-12-14 17:33:22 UTC
I have committed fix in Mail-Box myself. After sync, emerge -uD should pull missing Mail-Box dependency.

Piotr, thanks for report; Kent, thanks for solution!
