in ebuild for gs-source-2.4.25_pre7-r4 there is a EXTRAVERSION set to _pre7-gss-r3 and KV is 2.4.25_pre7-gss-r3. Probably both these variables should contain gss-r4. Header from this ebuild is Header: /home/cvsroot/gentoo-x86/sys-kernel/gs-sources/gs-sources-2.4.25_pre7-r4.ebuild,v 1.1 2004/04/17 11:17:42 plasmaroo Exp Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.emerge sync 2.emerge -u gs-sources 3.build and install kernel modules Actual Results: Kernel sources of 2.4.25_pre7-r4 is installed into /usr/src/linux-2.4.25_pre7-gss-r3 and overwrites sources of sources of 2.4.25_pre7-r3 (tested). After modules compilation and installation probably overwrites modules of version 2.4.25_pre7-r3. Expected Results: Install and build with correct version number
Created attachment 30908 [details, diff] Patch for gs-source 2.4.25_pre7-r4 ebuild file I have created some patch for the ebuild file. I used these changes and it looks fine - gs-sources installs in correct directory, installs modules in correct directory and kernel version is correct too. PLEASE, CHECK IT SOMEONE!
There is no longer a gs-sources-2.4.25_pre7-r4 ebuild in Portage and -r6 seems to be OK, so I'm closing this bug.
