There is a bug in the upstream that makes this version unusable for anyone who isn't running IPv6.  The ipv6 USE flag makes no difference.

I tested exclusively with IPv4 and USE=ipv6. It looked absolutely fine to me.

I tested on an IPv4 network with USE=-ipv6 now, too, and I don't see any issue.

Please file a new bug report instead of clogging up this one with unrelated information.
