I have put together a hackish ebuild.
Installs fine.
Note that it should be reviewed by someone who understands python packaging.

gmvault-fix-python-path.patch

Its startup scripts find /user/bin/python earlier than python2{2_6,2_7} thus it will fail if python-3.x is the default.
