Hyphenation (for English) works in Scribus 1.4.3 but not in 1.4.1. Some forums have reported hyphenate 2.8 as the source of the problem, and fixed this by downgrading to lower versions (2.7) of hyphenate - haven't checked it as because other problems with Scribus, I have compiled it from source (v 1.4.3) manually, and everything is working.
