Currently, A short guide to Gentoo/FreeBSD is redirected to the wiki. However, information on wiki does not include all. I want to merge the following section. * Introduction to FreeBSD * Developing for Gentoo/FreeBSD NOTE, Add User and setting keymap written in wiki already.
Created attachment 356072 [details] Change the wiki style, 2 sections Created by the copy-and-paste from A short guide to Gentoo/FreeBSD. Minimal changes * Change the wiki style * FreeBSD's version number, 7.1 --> 9.1 * Gentoo/FreeBSD version number also, 6.2 --> 9.1
looks good, thanks maybe it'd be worth checking if the information about filesystem support is up to date and remove / merge the known issues part with the one in the wiki
(In reply to Alexis Ballier from comment #2) > looks good, thanks thanks for review. > maybe it'd be worth checking if the information about filesystem support is > up to date and remove / merge the known issues part with the one in the wiki I'll change to contents of following, part of filesystems. * FreeBSD supports UFS/UFS2 and ZFS as native file systems. * FreeBSD also supports Linux filesystems, but you cannot install your system on them. ext2/ext3 supports read/write access. ReiserFS, XFS are read-only support. details please see FreeBSD's handbook [http://www.freebsd.org/doc/handbook/filesystems-linux.html 21.3. Linux® Filesystems] And I'll remove Known issues part. Because, init scripts seems to not depends on clock already.
I'll be add to Experimental Zone, information about overlay also. Description of official overlay is the following. no problem ? === Portage Overlay === ;[http://git.overlays.gentoo.org/gitweb/?p=proj/gentoo-bsd.git Gentoo/BSD Project Overlay] :It's official overlay. good quality, it's maintained @system packages that are bug fixes. You can add using layman -a gentoo-bsd. ;[https://github.com/nigoro/amd64-fbsd nigoro's amd64-fbsd overlay] :It's highly experimental overlay. bad quality, but more packages works anyway. [https://github.com/nigoro/amd64-fbsd/wiki/TestedPackages List of tested packages].
