The build for =arno-iptables-firewall-2.0.1d on line 40 uses epatch however the ebuild does not inherit eutils.eclass

Thanks for reporting this!

I agree that it would be better to explicitly inherit eutils - currently it is only inherited implicitly via linux-info (and versionator). I guess it's the same reason why repoman wasn't complaining about missing inherits. I'll find out if it would be possible to update the ebuild without a revbump in this case.

Until then you may be interested in trying 2.0.1d-r1 (if you're not using that already :)). That revision got cleaned up a bit and also has several fixes (for details please see #465114).
